Ben Dineen is a longtime practitioner of yoga, taiji/qigong, and an ongoing explorer of the interplay of movement and stillness, as well as an illustrator, and writer based in the SF Bay Area. He remembers having his first glimpses of different meditative states of awareness as a child, in natural and spontaneous ways, often while he was drawing, or playing outside in nature. :)
Ben began his formal studies of meditation and yoga in his first year of college. His studies of yoga began in 1996 with Ben Thomas, in the Iyengar Yoga Tradition. Ben is very grateful for His steady and loving presence, and for all insightful wisdom that has been shared. He has also been practicing taiji and qigong since 1999, and this continued exploration has included many years studying Chen Taiji and Qigong with Tony Wong, who has been a great inspiration and guide.
Over the years, Ben has also had the good fortune to study and train with a variety of different teachers and practitioners, in yoga, taiji/qigong, and a variety of other movement arts... and for this he is very grateful. Since 2002 he has been offering classes, workshops, and retreats in yoga, taiji, qigong, movement exploration, and meditation to various individuals, groups, and companies, based in the SF Bay Area.
