Ben remembers having his first real insights into meditation as a child, in a natural and spontaneous way... often while he was drawing or playing outside in nature. Ben began his formal studies of meditation and yoga in his first year of college. His studies of yoga began in 1996 with Ben Thomas. Ben is very grateful for His steady and loving Presence, and for all insightful wisdom that has been shared. He has also been practicing taiji and qigong since 1999, and this continued exploration has included many years of study with Tony Wong, who has been a great inspiration and guide.
Over the years, Ben has also had the good fortune to study and train with a variety of different teachers and practitioners, in both yoga and taiji/qigong... and for this he is very grateful. Since 2003 he has been offering classes, workshops, and retreats in hatha yoga, raja yoga, taiji, and qigong, at various locations in the SF Bay Area.
