​Wellness Programs & Services:

​Since 2002, Ben has been working with a variety of Bay Area Companies, Fitness / Wellness Facilities, and Yoga Studios, where he has led classes, workshops, and seminars in Yoga, Taiji, and Qigong.  Topics include flexibility, strength, and mobility training; martial art and partner training exercises; self massage, and relaxation exercises; breath-work,
 and energy management; and meditation / mindfulness practices.  Ben also works with private clients, offering these same services.  He is happy to share these practical, approachable, and effective practices, principles, and guidelines with others.  He offers the pre-designed services and programs listed below, and can also tailor his offerings a bit if needed, to meet the specific needs and interest of each person, company. and/or group that he works with.

​Vinyasa Yoga Class (1 hr.) 
- A more active, flowing yoga class, with attention to building strength, flexibility, and endurance in the body.
- Focus will also be given to using good alignment and proper breathing.

- Can be modified for any level, or taught as an all level class.
- Comfortable workout clothing, and yoga mats needed.

Slow Flow - Vinyasa Yoga Class  (1 hr.) 
- A slower paced, flowing yoga class, with attention to building strength and flexibility in the body, as well as having mindfulness of movement.
- Focus will also be given to using good alignment and proper breathing.
- Can be modified for any level, or taught as an all level class.
- Comfortable workout clothing, and yoga mats needed.

Yin Yoga Class (1 hr.) 
- Focus is on stretching deeper ligaments and connective tissues in the body, using longer held 'passive' stretches on the floor (usually 1 - 5 min per pose) 
- A more inward focused practice...  much of it can be done with eyes closed.
- Focus will also be given to using good alignment, and proper breathing. 

- Accessible for all levels (modifications will also be offered, wherever needed)
- Comfortable workout clothing, yoga mats, yoga blankets, and blocks needed.

Gentle / Restorative Yoga Class (1 hr.) 
- Focus is on more gentle stretching, proper breathing, relaxation, and stress relief.
- Gentle and supported stretches on the floor, often using misc. props and longer held poses (5 - 15 min)

- A more inward focused practice... much of it can be done with eyes closed.
- Accessible for all levels 
- Comfortable workout clothing, yoga mats, yoga blankets, and blocks needed. 

Chen Taiji Class (1 hr.) 
- Chen Taiji Silk Reeling Exercises
- Gentle exercises and movements to release excess tension in the joints and body, also improving body coordination, and energy flow throughout.  Can be practiced mainly for health and mindful movement, though also traditionally includes martial art application and intent, which can also be shared, if there is interest.

- For on-going classes, some of the longer Chen Taiji forms, and other misc. exercises can also be taught.
- Can be taught indoors, or outside (weather permitting).

- Comfortable workout clothing advised.

Qigong Class (1 hr.) 
- Hunyuan Qigong (and potentially other misc. qigong exercises) 
- 
Includes gentle movements and stretches for optimal energy flow, self massage techniques, and standing or seated meditation.
- Can be taught indoors, or outside (weather permitting).
- Comfortable workout clothing advised.

Movement Exploration Class (1 hr.) 
- Movement with awareness.  Exploring the different possibilities of integrated movement and flow in the body, for good health, strength, vitality, and clarity of being. 
- Focus on cultivating one's ability to be creative, adapt and adjust accordingly, and tune-in specifically to what your body and system needs, on any given day, and in any given moment... which is always changing.
-Focus could also be on exploring range of motion, flexibility, strength, agility, endurance, releasing of tension, mind / body / awareness connection & integration, cross-training, and so on.


Guided Meditation Class (45 min.) 
- Meditation can be done seated in chairs, or on the ground (if yoga blankets, or cushions are provided).
- No other fitness equipment or attire necessary.

Breath-work Class (45 min.)
- Introduction to breathing exercises (pranayama) from the hatha yoga tradition, for stress reduction, improved focus, relaxation, and healthy mind / energy management.
- Chairs, or meditation pillows needed.
- No other fitness equipment or attire necessary.

Office Wellness Class (1 hr.) 
- Easy and effective stretches and exercises specifically for office related aches, and strain
(neck, back, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, eye health, healthy posture, and so on will all be addressed) 
- Chair stretches, and gentle standing & moving exercises will be taught.
- No fitness equipment or attire necessary.

Mindful Wellness Course (8 sessions, 1 hour each week, or meeting for 1 hour 2x a week) (Offered to groups, and/or companies only)
- Course will include yoga, taiji, qigong, movement exploration, breath-work, self massage techniques, and meditation / mindfulness practices.
- Each 1 hr. session will include a 15 minute presentation, a 30 minute guided movement class (yoga, taiji, qigong, etc.), and a 15 minute guided meditation at the end.
- Course is progressive... each session is unique, though will also be building upon the previous sessions.
- Suggestions for self study, and integration into one's life and routine will also be offered.

- Comfortable workout clothing, yoga mats, and yoga blocks, and/or yoga blankets needed. 



​For all company and group classes, both 4 and 8 class series packages are available.  Following that, there is then the possibility of either renewing the series, or having the class be ongoing.  For one on one sessions with private clients, classes are offered as individual sessions.  Please contact Ben, for additional pricing info. and details, and/or if you want to schedule a class series, or individual session with him.  Thank You! ​


Ben aspires to be all inclusive, practical, well informed, and friendly in his teaching style.  Ben stays current in all of his respective disciplines, and has multiple certifications in Yoga, and Taiji / Qigong instruction, as well as studying a variety of different movement arts and practices over the years.  Even though he often finds himself in the role of instructor or guide for these particular services, he also considers himself a life-long student, and does his best to continue to learn, and evolve, and stay open to the journey of life, with fresh eyes. It is his hope that each person leaves his classes, sessions, and/or seminars, feeling a greater sense of peace, clarity, inspiration, and well-being.  ​

​Please Note: This list does not include many of the yoga studios, gyms, and other public facilities that Ben teaches at, or which he has taught at over the years.  He is very grateful that through his work, he has been able to connect with, and meet many lovely people, from a variety of different walks of life, and in a variety of different settings.  :)
